As a new initiative this year, Focus 20 has been set on at Stoke Poges enabling further learning and enhancing upon lessons learnt at school. For an extra hour each Wednesday, 20 students that require extra help or guidance in their work stay behind and are tutored by their teachers in order for them to reach higher and aim for their end of term targets easier through the extra support they receive at school. This program is set in place for years 7 – 10 and every half term 20 different students are chosen. Already after one half a term of having Focus 20 in place, the school is seeing a higher academic performance and outcome in the work of those students who have had extra help and aid.
